My schedule (?)
Scheduling Tuesday morning proved as frustrating as ever, despite my prime position this year. I feel confident that I’ll get into the course on international law that’s closed at present, but that might be more out of single-minded academic longing than well-reasoned probability. I’ll include it just the same:
- AMCULT 206 – “American Subcultural Movements: Beatniks, Hippies, and Punks.” Everyone’s been talking about this class, so I jumped right in. Bruce Conforth is supposed to be great and it’s obviously an interesting subject.
- PHIL 201 – “Intro to Logic.” In which Dan sells out to the LSAT.
- POLSCI 481 – “Junior Honors Seminar.” I would have appreciated a bit more fanfare in re: my admission to the Poli Sci honors program than an automated class permission email, but there you have it.
- POLSCI 389.006 – “International Law.” Everything is perfect: the subject, the schedule, the professor. The class is so good that I’ve actually not registered for a safety in case I don’t get in (as a sort of costly signal to myself, I guess, that I’d better take seriously the meeting with the prof that’s required before registration). Of course, should this not work out, I’m left with the sucker’s payoff, forced to choose three credits from whatever’s left in a week’s time, once the underclassmen have had their shot…
