Peace index
From the Economist’s Intelligence Unit comes the “Global Peace Index.” Unlike the data I spent my senior year on, this index forgoes event data for survey and economic data. All you need to know: Northern Europe, New Zealand, and Japan rank at the top, the US is way down at the eleventh percentile (96 of 121), and Iraq comes in dead last. (via Opinio Juris)
