The Canadian Invasion
Dorothy Gambrell (she of Cat and Girl fame) charts where the last forty years of chart-toppers came from. One fact jumps out almost immediately — was the British Invasion of the early 1960s really dwarfed by the Canadian Invasion of, er, 1996? I can think of Alanis, sure (and the comments reminded me about Celine Dion, much as I resent them for it), but who else contributed to the boom?
