This is one of my favorite Gibbard covers.  i think i've got it pretty accurate, listen 
the song for timing.  also on the verse strumming make sure you don't hit any of the 
that aren't supposed to be, it gives it a really terrible dischordent sound.  enjoy.

I don't know how you should end the song.
I'd recommend ending either on an A or F#.
I doubt you'd want to keep repeating the "ringing" part though.
Without the background drums and beats it gets really repetitive.
I'd just mess around with it for a bit and see what happens.
